US Pacific Coast - Highway 1 - California The Californian Pacific Coast is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. This is also the reason why I came back so often and took a huge amount of photos, some of the best I am sharing here - stay tuned, collection will be growing.

Highway 1 is the road along this beautiful coast, which spans in California from Crescent City in the north to San Diego at the Mexican border in the south.

The Californian Pacific Coast has many attractions besides the beautiful cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. In Northern California you can find the rugged redwood forests between San Francisco and Monterey a number of old towns and some of the worlds most famous beaches in southern California.

For me as nature photographer the more unpopulated areas are more attractive, like the redwood forests, some steep and pituresque coastlines north of San Francisco around the area of Elk as well as the famous coast lines outh of San Francisco, especially Big Sur.

This part of he world is so beautiful that I will return for sure more often in the coming years.
